Quality assurance for the chemical industry

At Ravago Chemicals UK, quality is of highest importance and is well embedded in our company culture. Our approach toward quality is comprehensive and systematic which enables continuous quality improvement. To us, long-term solid relationships with our customers and industrial partners provide the best measure for quality and we chose only to work with Principal partners that can uphold these high standards.

R.E.A.C.H.

REACH is the European regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. It came into force on June 1st 2007 and affects the whole chemical industry and its users. Ravago Chemicals confirms its compliance with the objectives of REACH:

  • To ensure safe use of chemicals
  • To limit health – and environmental risks
  • To encourage the replacement of SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern)

CLP

CLP stands for Classification, Labelling and Packaging. The CLP Regulation came into force in January 2009, and introduced a new method of classifying and labelling chemicals based on the United Nations’ Globally Harmonised System (GHS).

The CLP Regulation ensures that the hazards presented by chemicals are clearly communicated to workers and consumers in the European Union through classification and labelling of chemicals.

Thanks to this process, the hazards of chemicals are communicated through standard statements and pictograms on labels and safety data sheets.

The CLP Regulation replaced the Dangerous Substances Directive (DSD, 67/548/EEC) and the Dangerous Preparation Directive (DPD, 1999/45/EC).

Ravago Chemicals UK is aware of its responsibility for correct classification, labelling and packaging of the sold products.

ISO Certificates

Quality is a topic that is often taken for granted, but at Ravago Chemicals UK, nothing goes unchallenged. To us, long-term solid relationships with our customers and industrial partners provide the best measure for quality. Supported by ISO certifications, Ravago Chemicals UK constantly tries to raise standards by implementing corrective and preventive actions where needed while stringent controls are carried out.
